Charity Football Event Tackles Cancer
Hays Construction, the leading recruiter specialising in construction jobs, recently hosted a five-a-side charity football tournament for 28 companies in the construction industry at the Goals Soccer Centre in Bristol. The event was a great success and, combined with a special auction, aims to raise over £1,500 for the charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The day saw some excellent football and it was an exciting tournament throughout, with Carillion (Civil Engineering) eventually walking away as victors after a nail biting final. A representative from Marie Curie presented the winners medals and will accept the cheque on behalf of the charity after the auction has taken place.
